The exhibit hall at BbWorld is always one of the things that many people wait with excitement for the doors to be open. Why, because this is a chance to talk to so many Blackboard partners in person and to experience the product first hand. Not to mention the vendor giveaways, prize drawings, button collection challenge, and great snack food.
I know everyone is busy and you probably don't want to do "research" before you head to NOLA, but I highly suggest that you research some of the vendors you plan to talk with (don't just go to the ones you know). This will allow you to ask more questions and to have more time talking about YOUR needs instead of the product features.
SoftChalk will be doing demonstrations that feature the key benefits of SoftChalk Cloud including: (1) SoftChalk Create, (2) Anytime/Anywhere access, (3) Transition proof content, (4) quick & easy sharing, and (5) tracking of student score results. You can visit SoftChalk on the Web at www.softchalk.com and at booth #101(
). I have heard they would be bringing plenty of their "Chalkies" and giving away an Apple iPad as well.
EvaluationKIT will be showing their turnkey integration with Bb Learn, how their product can improve response rates, and the advance reporting features within their product that makes raw data useful information. Check out their website at www.evaluationkit.com and visit them at booth #400. After you see why they say the "Grass is Greener" with them, you can register to win an iPad.
Atomic Learning will be in booth #237, stop by and talk with Deb! Atomic Learning is now a signature partner with Bb, not just a company that provides training videos about Bb. Their website is www.atomiclearning.com. Users can learn about hundreds of technologies and if your organization purchases the "custom" package, you can upload your own videos into their system. Instructors can code links directly to specific videos, so there is no search required. They claim to address the needs of all ages (K-12 & Higher Ed) to help learners embrace technology, which is what all educators want. We don't want the use of technology to cause added stress or to take away from the topic being taught. While I haven't heard if they will be giving away an iPad like SoftChalk or EvaluationKit, I do know they came to the last VaBUG conference with a great prize.
Coyote Point will be the vendor you want to visit in booth #306 if you are self-hosted and wanting a load balanced setup. They have over 12 years experience in load balancing and application delivery solutions at price points that most businesses can afford. They do simple server load balancing to enterprise-grade global traffic management. Companies like USA Today, Motorola, and Comcast trust them, will you? This signature partner will explain how new developments with SSL offloading and SP 8 features that can dramatically improve the way your system runs. Maybe you will get a giveaway when you stop by. There website is www.coyotepoint.com/

PS: While I don't see them listed in the "My Planner" vendor area for BbWorld this year, but someone you may want to check out. Hopefully, if they are not registered they will read this and contact Bb to attend!
